Cottage cheese (creamed) | 2 cups |
Butter | 3 tablespoons |
Dry yeast | 2 packages |
Dill seeds | 2 tablespoons |
Eggs | 2 |
Water | 1/2 cup |
Directions: makes 2 loaves
In a pan heat onions, water, cottage cheese, and butter to 120F. In a large mixer bowl combine 2 cups flour, yeast, sugar, salt, baking soda, eggs and warmed mixture. Turn on mixer and beat for 3 minutes. Gradually add remaining flour, oats and dill. Knead until mixed about 5 minutes. Cover let rise till double. Punch down. Place batter in2 greased 1 1/2 quart casserole dishes. Brush top with melted butter. Let rise uncovered for 45 minutes. Bake in preheated 350 F oven for 35 minutes. Remove from casserole dish. Brush again with some melted butter. Cool. This bread is best warm.
