Molasses Bread Recipe

Molasses Bread

Ingredients Measure
Whole wheat flour 1 1/2 cups
Soy flour 1/2 cup
Cornmeal 1/2 cup
Instant yeast 1 package
Salt 1 teaspoon
Molasses 2 tablespoons
Honey 2 tablespoons
Orange juice (lukewarm) 1/2 cup
Oil 4 tablespoons
Eggs (room temperature) 2

In a bowl combine the lukewarm orange juice, eggs, honey, molasses, soy flour and a half cup of whole wheat flour. Sprinkle the yeast on top and stir . Allow to sit for 15 minutes. Pour out onto a floured surface and add the cornmeal and salt. Mix together. Slowly add the whole wheat flour. Continue to mix in the flour till the dough is slightly sticky. Knead the dough for 5 minutes. Place dough into a greased loaf pan and let rise for 1 hour. Bake at 350 for 45 - 50 minutes. Cool.
