Gingerbread House Bundt Pan

gingerbreadbundt

Building a gingerbread house is a very traditional way to celebrate the Christmas season. Gingerbread house construction, however, can be a little bit challenging because all those pieces have to line up just perfectly to allow the house to stand up on its own for decorating! An easier alternative is to use a pan that creates the gingerbread house for you, like this Gingerbread House Bundt Pan. The heavy duty cast aluminum pan is made by Nordic Ware, which is known for their bundt pans. This one definitely doesn’t have a traditional bundt pan shape. Instead, it has a sloping tiled roof and a brick foundation that come together – along with windows, doors and even a few trees – to build a gingerbread house with a lot of personality that is guaranteed to have no structural issues.

Although the shape is similar to that of a loaf pan, this pan is deeper than a loaf pan and can hold more batter. Most standard bundt cake recipes will work with it, though a traditional bundt pan is still slightly larger than this house is. The pan comes with a spicy gingerbread cake recipe that is perfectly suited to the holidays and to this type of pan, and it’s good enough to make over and over again any time you feel like building and eating a new gingerbread house.
